  • XMU was trying to turn me on to the controversy; my conclusion: the song is good, and more enjoyable without the distraction of the actual video.

    Also, this is right up there with Bob Dylan claiming to be from New Mexico: wiki says she sites her influences as:

    Britney Spears - So there’s that.

    Thomas Newman - A composer I’ve never heard of, although has been involved in the soundtracks of American Beauty, The Green Mile and Road to Perdition, amongst many, many others.  Strange choice for a pop singer.

    Bruce Springsteen - Of course I’d want clarification.  Which one?

    All in all, it’s totally made up, right?
